Vinos Guanamé

Vinos Guanamé was founded in 2011 in San Felipe, Guanajuato. This is about 6 hours north of Mexico City in the center of the country. Vinos Guanamé sits in a microclimate within the semi-arid region of Guanajuato that provides a wonderful terroir at over 6,000 feet above sea level. The Torres family are cattle farmers who have had Muscat grapes growing in their family garden for over 30 years. After years of making wine for their personal consumption, they decided to dedicate some of their farmland to planting red varietals. Now, Vinos Guanamé produces 3,000 cases per year of single varietal Muscat, Malbec, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Syrah, as well as a Tempranillo/Malbec/Merlot Rosé. As the current plantings mature, annual production will rise to over 10,000 cases per year.
