Vinos Lechuza

Ray and Patty Magnussen planted their first vines in the heart of the Valle de Guadalupe in 2005. Ever since, Vinos Lechuza has been producing extremely high quality, small production wines. Now, 15 years later, their wines are featured on esteemed wine lists such as The French Laundry in Yountville, California. Vinos Lechuza is focused on sustainable farming, and all of the vineyards behind the family home are organically farmed. Growth for the winery came slowly. By 2012, Ray was only producing approximately 300 cases of wine, just enough for family and friends. Now, with a total production of only 1,000 cases per year, the wines of Vinos Lechuza are both highly sought after and extremely hard to find. Unfortunately, Ray passed on in 2017, but his daughter Kristen and her husband Adam are continuing the Magnussen family tradition.
